DSM’s existing inventory includes duplex steel 2507, an industry-leading high-performance material that has become the preferred solution for many industries due to its excellent corrosion resistance and strength. Duplex 2507 is a super duplex stainless steel,Alloy 2507 has 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel. This high molybdenum, chromium and nitrogen content results in excellent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion attack and the duplex structure provides 2507 with exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
What are the features of Duplex 2507?
Unique dual-phase structure
Excellent corrosion resistance
High tensile strength and yield strength
Good toughness
Strong resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC)
